| Details: The Assistant Director of Education assists in supervising all employees in the Education Department. He/she assists in the responsibility for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the Education Department at the campus. The ADOE assists in hiring, manages, evaluates and trains education staff and faculty, as well as monitoring and ensuring the quality and content of instruction in the department. The ADOE supports high levels of instructional and administrative quality and student satisfaction in order to retain and successfully graduate students, while operating in compliance with company policies and procedures of all state, federal and accrediting body regulations.**Must be able to work flexible hours including evenings.** Essential Duties and Responsibilities Adhere to all regulatory compliance criteria and submit in a timely manner all state, federal and accreditation reports Identify instructional needs (classroom, books, syllabi, etc.) and ensure these needs are met prior to start of classes Track and implement student attendance, academic progress and maximum timeframe policy Maintain faculty and educational staff academic files in accordance with all applicable compliance requirements Monitor the documentation of professional development, community resource usage and in-service training activities of all instructors Track timely compliance with changes in student status relating to leave of absence, withdrawal or probation Be aggressive in the implementation and compliance of the school retention program Recruit, interview and verify educational qualifications for prospective faculty members Assist in hiring, supervise and discipline faculty and resolve complaints/disputes between faculty members and students Conduct and record proceedings of departmental meetings Participate in institutional planning meetings Supervise faculty adherence to annual faculty development plans as required by accreditation criteria Conduct regular faculty meetings and participate in scheduled conference calls Conduct administrative and student evaluations of faculty members each term Coordinate course scheduling for all programs offered at the College, with the assistance of the registrar Participate in student orientation and textbook ordering prior to the start of each term Coordinate and oversee class start days and assist with scheduling conflicts and new students’ easy transition from orientation to first day of class Provide reports to other functional areas as needed Counsel students on a regular basis regarding student learning outcomes and satisfactory academic progress Establish tutoring schedules when necessary or other services to support successful learning outcomes Assist in coordinating accreditation visits, advisory board meetings, events and instructor training Plan, coordinate and participate in semi-annual graduation ceremonies Other duties as assigned by the Director of Education that is intended to accomplish the mission of the college | ||||
